Marion Tansley Obituary

Marion L. Tansley, age 93, a resident of Glen Ellyn for 75-years, passed away May 17th, 2011. Marion was born in Chicago, IL. She was a manager in electronic company. Marion was a long time member of the Catholic daughters of America. She enjoyed crafts, dancing, banking, knitting & crocheting and liked spending summers at her north woods cabin. Mother of Mary Ann (late Don) Mitchell, Katheryn M. Tansley, David H., Carol A. (Robert) Blair & Thomas (Claire); grandmother of Gloria, Christopher, Samantha, Marsha, Michael, Matthew & Shelly: great-grandmother of 6. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry A., sister Grace & brother Albert. Visitation held Friday, May 20th from 10 am till time of mass at 11 AM at St. Petronille Church, 420 Glenwood Ave, Glen Ellyn. Interment Assumption Cemetery. Arrangements handled by Leonard Memorial Home, (630) 469-0032.

Gram was such a strong woman. She was always active, whether she was cleaning, mowing or raking at the cabin, or dancing. I hope you are dancing with Grandpa in heaven. I will miss you.
