Marion Laczynski, 79 years old, of Antioch, IL passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Vista Medical Center East, Waukegan, IL.
She was born December 20, 1934 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Lada and Marie (Jerabek) Matus.
Marion resided in North Riverside for many years, and permanently moved to Antioch 15 years ago.
She enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, spending time with her grandchildren, as well as her Loon Lake friends.
Survivors include her children, Mike (Phyllis) Kelly of Salem, WI, Lynn (Scott) Hendry of San Luis Obispo, CA, Jeff (Lori) Laczynski of Darien, IL, and Dan (Kathy) Laczynski of LaGrange, IL; a sister, Jeannette Cardiff of Cuba, MO; and grandchildren, Alex, Samantha, Paige, Matthew, Jason, Johnathan, and Ben.
In addition to her parents, Marion was preceded in death by her former husband, Zygmund Laczynski.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, June 2, 2014 with a funeral service beginning at 7:00PM at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL. For information: 847-395-4000.

My condolences to all of Marion's close family.
Marion was one of my best friends, I already miss all our conversations through the years.
It was through Marion that I met my wife Ruth. For that alone I am forever grateful.
