Marilyn Macek Obituary
Marilyn Macek, nee Ross, of La Grange, passed away on May 22, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Macek.
A devoted mother and grandmother, she is survived by her brother, Gary Ross; sister-in-law, Doris Millman; and brother-in-law, Barry Macek; children, Katie Klitchman, Megan (John) Leininger and Lorna Nelson; grandchildren, Sam, Max, Emma and Tyler Klitchman, Heidi (Jim) Begy, Heather and Jake Leininger, Maureen, Jamie, Kelly Nelson; and great grandson, Jake Ptaszkiewicz.
Marilyn will be fondly remembered as co-owner, with Karen Pierson, of the Village Book Nook in La Grange. She volunteered for many organizations such as Cossitt School, Camp Fire Girls, The LeaderShop in La Grange and as an election judge.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 4:00 PM at the First Congregational Church of La Grange, 100 S. 6th Ave, LaGrange.

Our family would like to express our sympathy to yours...we knew Marilyn through the Book Nook as well as local school activities. It was always so pleasant to stop in at the shop for a visit, as well as purchases. Marilyn was so gracious in helping everyone. I shall miss seeing her about town. Sincerely, Ardy & Fred & family
