Marie Nicoloff Obituary

Marie Suzanne Gagnon Nicoloff, age 90, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at St. Anne Center Nursing Home in Rockford, IL. She was born on August 28, 1917 in Dodson, Montana. She married Marshall Hamilton Nicoloff on May 6, 1939. He preceded her in death in 1998. She lived in Elgin, West Chicago and Rockford. She worked for many years as an office manager at DuKane Corporation in St. Charles and at Belding and Ball Seed, retiring in 1980. She was an active member for most of her life since her initiation on May 16, 1946 of the Order of the Eastern Star Henrietta Chapter #162 of West Chicago. Eastern Star Services will be conducted by them during the Visitation at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mrs. Nicoloff is survived by four children, Lanning (Pat) of Rochelle, David (Susan) of Belvidere, Joseph (Debbie) of Plymouth, MI and George (Barbara) of Cortland, IL. Twelve grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Robert and 1 daughter, Marsha, both in 1967; by on grandson, Joseph, and by one brother, Robert Gagnon. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-9 p.m. at Williams Woodward Funeral Home, 820 E. Pine St., West Chicago. Funeral services will be held Friday, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
