Marie M. Maddi
of Johnson CityMarie M. Maddi, 88, of Johnson City, formerly of Binghamton, died Sunday, December 10, 2006. Marie was born and raised in New York City. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Ignatius Maddi; and two brothers, Peter Magnifico and Michael Magnifico. She is survived by her children, Joseph Maddi, Buffalo, Rosemarie Maddi, Boston, Mass., Marylinda Maddi; and son-in-law, Bob Heffernan, Pittsburgh, Pa.; two grandsons, Thomas Maddi and Trevor Maddi, Buffalo; five granddaughters, Kathryn Heffernan, Caroline Heffernan and Elsie Heffernan, all of Pittsburgh, Pa., Claire Maddi and Christina Maddi, Buffalo; her brother, Dominick Magnifico, Florida; three sisters-in-law, Corey Magnifico, Rose Magnifico, and Louise Maddi; several nieces and nephews. Marie was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton. She enjoyed travel, reading, collecting antiques and creating masterful needlepoint pieces.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Patrick's Church, corner of Oak and Leroy Streets, Binghamton, Thursday, December 28, 2006, at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory if Marie may be made to the Broome County Public Library, 185 Court Street, Binghamton, N.Y. 13901.
