Marianne Strumillo Obituary

Marianne H. Strumillo, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 3, 2011. Exactly 164 days after losing her husband of 57 years, Chester. She was survived by her son, Carl, and his three children Kelly, Morgan, and Brian; son, Don, and his wife, Vicky, and sons, Rob and Riley; and daughter, Carol McCarthy and her husband, Kevin. Marianne was first and foremost a devoted mother and wife. She spent many of her working years in the service of the Cicero School District as a school secretary, wiping runny noses and bandaging bruised knees, and egos. Later, she served as a seminar coordinator for her sons' company, traveling all over the country including a weeklong event in Alaska. Marianne spent her final days among friends at King-Bruwaert House in Burr Ridge. Her easy smile and generous spirit will be greatly missed.
