Margaret E. Nichols (Peggy), age 95, of Rockford, passed away on October 22, 2015.
She was born on December 21, 1919 in Chicago, daughter of Harry and Helen Caraher. Peggy married Leroy E. Nichols in Canton, Ohio. They lived in Panama for years prior to moving to Lisle, in 1950.
Peggy was a longtime member of Calvary Church in Naperville and a longtime member of the Lisle Heritage Society.
She had a thirst for knowledge and never stopped learning. She loved to travel and traveled extensively. She was a talented painter, creating many beautiful works of art.
Peggy is survived by 3 children, Thomas (Joslyn) Nichols of St. Joseph, IL, Susan (Glen) Kellmann of Rockford, IL and Pat (Joe) Ingram of Davenport, IA; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy; and a son, John A. Nichols.
Peggy will be missed by her family, many friends and admirers.
