Margaret Eichhorst Obituary

Margaret K. Eichhorst 79, of DeKalb died Monday Oct. 5, 2009, at Kishwaukee Community Hospital. She was born Dec. 28, 1929, in Downers Grove,IL. She was the daughter of Charles and Sophie (Wojtowicz) Urbanski. Margaret married Glen O. Eichhorst on June 24, 1950, in Downers Grove, where she was a loving homemaker and enjoyed working as a cashier at the local grocery store for several years. She enjoyed collecting bells, Campbell Soup Kids Collections and coins. Survivors include daughter, Linda Eichhorst of DeKalb; son, Larry (Debbie) Eichhorst of Tyngsborough, Mass.; four grandchildren, Steven Tomanek, Kristen (fianc‚ Joseph Ulmer) Tomanek, Alex Eichhorst and Matthew Eichhorst; sister, Marion Wetzel of Naperville, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glen, sisters Dorothy and Helen and brother, Charles. Visitation was held October 6, 2009 at Ronan-Moore-Finch Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held Oct. 7, 2009, at St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb with Father Kenneth Anderson officiating. Burial was held at the Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Darien, IL.
