Lovie L. Jones Lovie L. Jones, age 75, of McHenry, died Thursday, November 13, 2013, at Advocate Condell Medical Center. She was born October 22, 1938 in Grant Town, West Virginia to Charles and Sarah Mabel (Floyd) Wenger. She married William A. Jones on October 13, 1990. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, family was always her focus in life. Enjoyments included staying in touch with her family on the phone, as well as shopping, cooking, and the holidays. A religious person, Lovie read her Bible nightly and was always concerned with the well-being of others. She was proud of her Cherokee Indian heritage. Survivors include her husband, William; two children, Karma Martin of Cicero and Melissa Martin of McHenry; two grandsons, Valente Gonzalez and Thomas J. Stroud Jr.; a great grandchild, Vivica Gonzalez; three sisters, Carol (Manases) Troyer, Mary (John) Brink, and Sheila (Doug) McPete; a brother, Chester (Sandy) Wenger; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Nancy, Fay, Patricia, Sarah, and Audrey; and a brother, Buck. Friends may meet her family from 2:00 p.m. until the 4:00 p.m. memorial service on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050. Her family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society. Inurnment will be private in Elizabeth Cemetery in Elizabeth, IL.
