Linda Martin Obituary

MARTIN - Linda Jane, 55, of Muskogee and formerly of Peggs, was born on December 25, 1951 in Wagoner, the daughter of Riley and Lucille (Beaver) Martin. She graduated from Tahlequah High School and was employed at Georgia-Pacific in production/packaging. She had also worked at NSU as a food-service worker and in food service at Goldies in Tulsa. Linda loved music, especially Elvis and loved dancing. She enjoyed skating and going to the movies. Linda loved people and was dedicated to her work. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to see people smile. She was quick with a prank or joke and her smile will be greatly missed. She was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church in Peggs. Linda is preceded in death by: her parents, her brother, Ronnie Martin; and her grandparents, H.S. and Martha Martin and Hallie and Florence Beaver. She is survived by: 3 sisters and 1 brother, Barbara Martin of Tulsa, Betty and Dave Hughes of South Greenfield, MO, Anita Garner, and Danny and Carla Martin of Locust Grove. She was titled the "honorary mother" of Russell Martin of Tulsa, many nieces, nephews, cousins and her 2 cats, Dum-Dum and Velcro. The family will receive visitors 7p.m. - 8p.m., Wednesday, June 27, 2007 and Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 28, 2007, both at the Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Interment at New Home Cemetery in Peggs. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5110 S. Yale, Ste 101, Tulsa, OK 74135. Hart Funeral Home, (918) 456-8823.
