Lenora Rose Obituary

The family of Lenora Rose would like to express our appreciation for all of the friends who attended her visitation and funeral, as well as those who sent cards, flowers, food and called to express their sympathy, also to those who made donations to Magic Moments Riding Therapy and Ronald McDonald House in her memory. We would also like to thank Shane and Valenda at Ulmer Funeral Home for their kindness in helping us plan our mother's funeral. In this most difficult time, you have given us comfort and touched our hearts and, although it is unimaginable to think of our lives without her, we know she is in heaven, loving and guiding us still. Thank you.

Mom
Its been 10 years since I received that call ! My heart still breaks and I still miss you ! I wish my grandkids had known you ! We talk about how if you were here you would be rocking them or teaching them those songs you taught their Dads !
You were right the older I get the faster time goes but we know God has a beautiful garden up there and the Rose Bush on your grave is huge !!
You are loved by so many and missed by all of us !! I wish I could hear your voice or hold you one more time ❤❤

Dear Cousins,
I have been putting this off because your mom's death has affected me in ways I wasn't prepared for.I do apologize for my selfishness to all of you....Bobby, Marty and I want you all to know how sorry we are...it's not an easy thing to go thru and our thoughts and prayers are with you! Think of this, even tho we're all sad down here, can you even imagine the mayhem that is going on up in Heaven with your mom and my mom picking on Aunt Lois?!! Then you throw in Ucle bud, Uncle Tooter, Jerry and Jim...bet they're having a hoot up there...they're all together again!! No body could feed off each other's humor like aunt Doll and Mom, they were brutal to the poor victim (usually Lois, poor thing) but sometimes it was me and I did not find them particularly funny as I am sure Lynn could attest too!!! You all had a wonderful relationship with your mom and for that you can be thankful, you know she loved each and every one of you!!! Take care of yourselves and each other! ..love bunny, bobby and marty and families....love ya all

Dear Aunt Doll,

I'll always your smile that was larger than life and your heart felt laugh. Some of my BEST memories of my childhood were when me and my brother stayed with you and played all summer long with John, Terri, Judy and Steve and waiting for those HUGH cookies that you would make.
I wish all my cousins and their families much love and peace. I know that your Mom and my Dad have alot of caughting up to do.

Love,

Nora Lee

Mom it has been a month since you passed away. If I let myself stop and think about you leaving us, it is still so unbearable. You are the heart of this family and we all miss you so much. If you were here with me tonight, you would be lying on the couch with your head covered up because Jamey won't stay in bed. As usual he is up looking for something to eat. After he was finished looking in the cabinets he would see you lying on the couch and then come over to you and want to lay down with you. You would always let him. NEVER would you tell him to go get back in his own bed. I know someday the memories will take over and dry the tears but not yet. It is still too soon. Good night sweet Mother.

Mom,
I could just see that smirky look on your face when you managed to stop traffic Wed. on your final journey through Carthage and Carterville with your kids and grandkids right behind you. You did good! And you had the last laugh with Steve because he was determined to "wean you" from wearing your robe and nightgown all the time! We all agreed to put you in a robe and nightgown one last time!
Love,
Terri

Because my Mom is very ill at this time, we will not be able to make the trip home for Doll's funeral. Mom has told me many times of the stories of her & Doll's childhood togeather. They had some great times and Mom has fond memories of Doll.
