Laine VanHoutan Obituary
Laine Manning VanHoutan, age 12, of Downers Grove, passed away March 20, 2018 after a long battle with Batten disease.
Beloved daughter of Tracy and Jennifer VanHoutan. Loving sister of Emily, Colette and the late Noah. Cherished granddaughter of Norb and Jacque Farnaus, Madilyn Abernathy, Jerry and Susan VanHoutan. Dear niece, cousin, friend and inspiration to many.
A Funeral Service was held Friday, March 23rd at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Downers Grove.
Memorials in Laine's memory may be made to Noah's Hope (www.NoahsHope.com) for Batten disease research or the Noah VanHoutan Family Trust (for final expenses), PO Box 54, Downers Grove, IL 60515.

Tracy and Jennifer My deepest Sympathies to all of you on the loss of Laine. I only met her once a while coming off the bus with Noah, that day forever impacted my soul. May you all find Peace in knowing that they are both now together with our savior our Lord Jesus Christ and free of this terrible disease they both so valiantly fought.... Eternal rest grant upon her Oh Lord and may the perpetual light shine upon her and may her soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed especially Noah, be at peace within you.
