Kirk Connick Obituary

Kirk Connick passed away after a brief illness on December 11, 2017.
Born and raised in Downers Grove, Kirk attended Downers Grove North High School. He attended Augustana College where he played on the tennis team; serving as co-captain in the 1981 season. Upon graduating in 1981 with a BA in biology and geology, Kirk pursued his masters in Earth Sciences at University of New Orleans. In 1992 Kirk began a career in employment recruiting, where he owned his own business and in more recent years pursued contract recruiting assignments. Kirk had a passion and love of nature and enjoyed annual pheasant and deer hunting trips with this father. He found great satisfaction in helping people - from finding them work, donating blood, or visiting friends who were at hospital.
He will be missed and warmly remembered by his mother, Trudi Connick; two children , Emmi and Ben Connick; his sister, Connie de Lange; and his brother, Eric Connick.
A Memorial Service will be held at the First Congregational Church at 1047 Curtiss St, Downers Grove on January 13 at 1:00 pm.

I have so many fond memories of Kirk - too many to share here. He was a loyal friend and had a huge heart. Numerous times he stopped by out of the blue when he was in the Rockford area to see my parents when my dad was bedridden. He always checked on me to help me through rough times when my dad, brother and sister had life ending illnesses. I only regret I could have helped Kirk more to overcome his adversities. God bless the Connick family through these times. Bear - I love ya. I miss you already.
