Kent Smith Obituary

Kent E. Smith, 72, of Elmhurst. He was born on May 21, 1939 in Oak Park, IL and passed away on February 4, 2012 in Elmhurst. Beloved husband of Pamela nee Streich; fond father of Julie Ellen (Daniel Jerger) Smith and Stephen Paul Smith; brother of Brian C. (Bonnie); brother-in-law of Judith Ellen (Carl Alton) Zimmerman; uncle of Brett Smith, Brooke May and Ellen Zimmerman Kircher. He was an Army Veteran having served in Korea and a member of the Elmhurst T.H.B. Post #187 A.L., Rotary Club of Elmhurst and Naperville Men's Glee Club. He enjoyed a long career in fundraising and executive management of significant human service organizations and he was an organ and tissue donor. Memorial Service 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 25 at Elmhurst Presbyterian Church, 367 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst. Interment private.
