Kenneth Gabel Obituary

Kenneth L. Gabel, Sr., 91, passed away July 8, 2011 in Houston, TX. He was a proud WWII Army veteran, and a longtime resident of Brookfield, IL, working for 35 years at the Western Electric Cable Plant in Cicero, IL, and was a lifetime Cub fan. He is the beloved husband of the late Evelyn Gabel; and fond father of Robert K. (Kathleen) Gabel, Richard J. (Patricia) Gabel; Kenneth L. (Catherine) Gabel, Jr.; and James M. (Claudia) Gabel; dear grandfather of eight, and great-grandfather of seven. A private Funeral Service and interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park, IL. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076, or to your favorite charity. Condolences may be offered at www.millerfuneral.com.

My condolences to the Gabel family. Mr. Gabel was a friendly helpful person who raised a great family. I grew up on the same block in Brookfield where the Gabel family lived. My condolences to Kenny, Rich, Bob and Jimmy and their families.
