Katherine Elson Obituary

Katherine Ann Wezdenko Elson, of Manitowish Waters, WI passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the age of 86. She was born on November 20, 1925 in Chicopee Falls, MA to Katherine and Walter "Wasyl" Wezdenko. Katherine was raised in Hadley, MA. She worked at Heintz Drugs, Schmidt Pharmacy and Woods Pharmacy in Glen Ellyn, IL, as a cosmetologist. Katherine loved animals and wildlife, especially her cat, Spike. She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jay" W. Elson; daughter, Judith Kay Hentschel and brothers, Bernard and Donald. Katherine is survived by her son, Arthur D. (Kathy) Eichenberger; grandchildren, Michael Hentschel, Rebecca (Dan) Hentschel Compton, Harold A. (Carolyn) Hentschel, Adam (Natalie) Eichenberger and Amy (Johnny) Eichenberger Clark; 6 great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Quinten, Dylan, Hope, Callum and Truman; brother, Raymond (Darleen) Wezdenko; 2 nieces and 5 nephews. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Community Church in Manitowish Waters, WI at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Chips Paulson officiating.
