Karolyn Leon Obituary

Karolyn DeLeon, nee Bodak, age 73, of Lombard, died July 9 at her home. A private family Memorial Service will be held on July 22 in the Founders Room at the Morton Arboretum. Mrs. DeLeon is survived by her son, Peter A. (Julie A.) of Lombard; two grandchildren, Jacob and Alaina; two sisters, Kathy (Darryl) Huber of Arizona, and Christine (Calvin) Blickle of Prospect Heights; her brother, George Bodak of Arizona; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Mrs. DeLeon was a retired 30 year employee of Queen Bee School District 16 in Glendale Heights. She loved to travel, read, and had a passion for teaching children. In lieu of flowers, the family has arranged a memorial fund to benefit the children's section at the Helen Plum Library, 110 West Maple, Lombard, IL 60148. Donations are sincerely appreciated.
