WALLINGFORD - June L. Rounsefell, 93, died Nov. 9, 2008, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 28, 1915, in Springfield, the daughter of Clarence "Doc" and Ruth (Hebert) Lindsay.
She graduated from Springfield High School in 1932 and attended Lyndon Normal School.
On June 16, 1940, she married Clifford P. Rounsefell in Springfield. He predeceased her in 1966.
Mrs. Rounsefell taught in a one-room school in Barnard for several years. She was a secretary at Fellows Gear Shaper in Springfield for several years, and a school secretary in New Jersey for 25 years. She retired in 1979.
Survivors include two sons, Clifford "Skitch" Rounsefell of Myakka City, Fla., and Lindsay Rounsefell of Springfield; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1966; a daughter, Ann Smith in 1999; and a sister, May French in 1979.
The graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, in Oakland Cemetery in Springfield. The Rev. Christine Boardman, pastor of First Congregational Church UCC in Springfield, will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.

June was my mom's roommate for the last 4 yrs at Genesis. She was wonderful and was loved by the staff. I'm glad her suffering is over but she will be missed by all.
