June Glaser Obituary

June D. Glaser, age 76, of Geneva died Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois. She was born June 7, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Bertha Miller. Mrs. Glaser graduated from Mount Saint Mary School in St. Charles. She was a member of the Women of the Moose in Batavia and a volunteer at Community Hospital in Geneva. She was a Cub Scout Den mother and was a founding member and past president of the Young Mothers Club of Geneva. She had been employed by the Campana, Burgess Norton and as a secretary for her family's company, Glaser and Sons. She is survived by her three sons, Jeffrey of Batavia, John (Susan) of Geneva and James (Kimberly) of Blackberry Township; 2 sisters, Lois (Charles) Olson of Geneva and Audrey of California; eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Brittany, Sarah, Nina, Patience, Erik, Michael and Brianna, six great-grandchildren, Gunnar, Annika, Jason, Alexia, Madeline and Jason; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil in 2005; her parents; a brother, Robert Miller; a granddaughter, Megan; and her daughter-in-law, Mary. Funeral service Monday, June 2, 10:00 a.m. at Yurs Funeral Home, 1771 West State Street (Rt. 38), Geneva, Illinois. Burial will be at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia, Illinois. Visitation, Sunday, 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
