Joycelin O'Brien Obituary
Joycelin Rita O'Brien, 94, mother of 2, and grandmother of 3, passed away peacefully in her son's Downers Grove, IL home, under the love and care of her son and family friends.
She was a loving and forever supportive Mother of John O'Brien and Joycelyn O'Brien, and loving Grandmother of Alan O'Brien, Shelby O'Brien, and Julianna O'Brien.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Helen DeBiase.
Joycelin was born in St. Louis, MO, and raised in MO and Chicago, IL. She lived in Western Springs, IL for 30 years, followed by Downers Grove, IL for another 30 years. She was educated at the College of DuPage and worked as a nurse at Community Memorial Hospital, in LaGrange, IL.
She was a great lover of her many dogs over the years, and truly enjoyed spending time with her family on the lake and in the woods of Michigan, while at the family lake house.
Her greatest joy over her entire life was in seeing the happiness and peace of her son, John, daughter Joycelyn, and her grandchildren, Alan, Shelby, and Julianna, and forever supporting and encouraging all of them in every way that she possibly could.
She was the finest mother that a child could ever ask for, and the best friend that a child could ever have. She set the finest example of motherhood that any mother possibly could. She will be dearly missed by her family every day.
