Joseph Reisch

Joseph Reisch, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family, Saturday, December 22, 2018. He was born in Springfield, Illinois, to Joseph & Vivian (Dressendorfer) Reisch. Joseph attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic School in Springfield until relocating with his family to LaGrange. He graduated from Lyons Township High School and Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Joe, or "Popi" as his granddaughters called him, was an avid tennis player, and ran his own business. He was most admired by his family and friends for his strength, generosity, and his genuine and infectious smile.

Survived and beloved by his wife, Shirley Reisch; children, Joe (Geri) Reisch and Gretchen Reisch (Thomas Monaghan); brothers, Franz Reisch, John Reisch, Richard Morrissey and Molly Morrissey; 9 granddaughters, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his daughter, Bridget Reisch Caron; sister, Carolyn (Reisch) Kieffer.

Mass was held on Saturday, December 29, at St. Isaac Joques Catholic Church in Hinsdale, and a celebration of his life followed. Information: ELEMENTS, the cremation company, 855-550-5151.
