John Veneris Obituary

My in-laws, the Philip Clarke family, introduced me to John and he was a great help to me in my search for a home. After a lengthy search, he helped me find my home in Lockport. It was aways a pleasure working with John. He made the arduous search both enjoyable and fruitful.

To the Veneris Family,
Our deepest sympathy to you. John had helped find our 2 homes. He had gone to great lenghts to help us. We loved his visits as Santa. Our thoughts & prayers are with you.

My sympathies to John's family. He was such a good person and will be greatly missed by many. May you find comfort in each others' company during this time.

I was so shocked to hear about John's passing. He was so nice when we lived by you and I even saw him from time to time when I worked at Drake Realtor's and Baird & Warner. He will be missed and my mom Winnie sends her sympathy as well. Take care of yourself and our prayers go out to you and your family.

I was saddened to hear of John's death. I worked for a Law Firm in Bolingbrook and John was a dear friend and colleague who joined us at many functions throughout the years. What a kind and gentle man! He will be missed by many. My prayers to the family.

To the Veneris Family,
It is with a heavy heart that I would like to express my sympathy for your loss. John and I served together at NAR on the Realtor Political Involvement Committee. He will be sadly missed. Prayers of a friend are with you.

John was a great help when I turned to managing his former real estate office. Not once did I hear a bad word about John from anyone. He was loved by all. He will be missed.

Having moved to new ministries in Wisconsin, after following John's wise words and selling our Downers Grove home in three days--we are saddened to learn of his passing. He helped us sell and purchase two homes, ever the gentleman, a guy with a great sense of humor. It was always a joy to run into him at Omega on Saturday mornings. We were always in good hands with John and now he is in the best hands of all. May God be with his dear wife and family.

I will miss seeing John at the office. We always chatted about the real estate market in the western suburbs.

We have so enjoyed keeping in touch with John since he sold our Woodridge home in 1984. He was so professional as well as friendly and kind. He allowed us to "pick his brain" regarding the areas we were considering moving to as well as the type of home we were planning to build. No wonder that we felt very comfortable recommending him as a realtor to others. Through the years, we have enjoyed the postcards, recipes, and contests he sent to us. It saddened us greatly to learn of John's illness. May he rest in peace.

Dearest Dee, Nick & TJ - I have many fond memories of Scriba family gatherings and John's wonderful sense of humor and sincere kindness. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Dear Dee,

We would like to send our sincerest sympathies. Even though we did not know John well, we have always felt blessed to have had such wonderful neighbors and will always remember seeing John and you taking Cody for his daily walk. As we talked to people at the wake, they all stressed John's kindness and constant optimism.
So we may have lost a kind neighbor, but heaven has gained a new angel.

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness to hear of John's passing. He was an all round great guy. As the best friend to my oldest brother, I have known John my whole life, and every time I would see him he would remind me of how he was at the hospital visiting my mom the day I was born. He always brought a smile and the most awesome sense of humor whenever I saw him. He will truly be missed. Many prayers and much love to his family.

I am numbed at learning of John's passing. I had no idea John was sick. John has been my trusted realtor for years. He is the most honest and hard-working man I've worked with over the past years. I met John during my early teen years at Elim 40+ years ago. He was a great friend. He and I spent a memorable bicycling trip in Western Europe one summer. Since then, we've kept in touch on and off over the years. He was always there with a cheerful greeting when we met to catch up on things. We knew John through Don & Lynn Wilber. Although we were not close, over the years we spent several evenings at the Greek Islands Restaurant/Lombard with John, and we always found him to be congenial and highly amusing company. We were always impressed with his intelligence & his knowledge of his chosen field.
