John was the nicest neighbor one could ask for--always helpful, always friendly, always a pleasure to see and be around.

The last few days have marked my first return to Illinois since the passing of Mr. Prinke. In this case, I was assisting my Dad with another move at Beacon-Hill. It was striking to hear so many members of that community, both residents and staff, share such warm and genuine accounts of Mr. Prinke. Despite his relatively short time in residence, he clearly made a positive and lasting impact and is greatly missed. Indeed, I will always remember him as a kind and thoughtful individual and I remain very grateful to have had an opportunity to reconnect with him in recent years. On behalf of my Dad, George, and our entire family, our sincere sympathies.

John and my dad, Frank Roucek, worked together, and at one point I worked at Sears, too. I got to know John a little bit back then, and I know what a sweet, terrific person he was. I was very sad to hear of his passing. He was always very warm and friendly toward me and my whole family. He and my dad were two of a kind, real gentlemen in the truest sense. Please accept my sympathy for the loss of your wonderful father/grandfather.

Scott, Marne, Paul and the rest of the Prinke Family.
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your dad today. Please accept my deepest sympathy for you in this challenging time. I hadn't seen a John in many years until last December at another memorial at Community Congregational. As fate would have it, I sat down right in front of him, not paying much attention to my surroundings. I'm grateful that he recognized me, said hello, prompting some reminiscing about the early days at the church when he and my dad used to help with projects and maintenance. It was so nice of him to notice and talk to me, I was truly delighted to see his always friendly face again. I recall feeling welcome in your Villa Park home in those days. Peace to you all as you remember all of the good days.
