John Kloster Obituary
Died: June 26, 2023
Kloster, John Kenneth III, passed away June 26, 2023 at the age of 71 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was predeceased by his parents John K. (Jack) and Maryellyn. He is survived by his partner Kitty Cayo, his children John (Kelly) Kloster and Amanda (Will) Campbell, grandchildren Cameron, Charlie, Kendall, Willow, and Charlotte, sister Susan Kloster, and stepson Durk Way. He was born in Hinsdale, grew up in Downers Grove, and graduated from Downers Grove North in 1969. He graduated from William and Mary in 1973. He was a proud member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity where he met many life-long friends. John had a long career in the travel industry and enjoyed traveling the world. He had a great mind who could do insane calculations in his head, solve crosswords in record time, and intelligently discuss all of the questions of the world. We miss his endless stories, great taste in music, sage advice, guidance, and thought-provoking questions. But mostly we will miss the way he made us all feel loved in our own way.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Sullivan Funeral Home Hinsdale from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, with Chapel Service at 5:00.

John will be missed by all who knew him. I met him at W&M in the Fall of '69 when we started Freshman year in King Dorm . He introduced me to the fledgling Band - Chicago and his wry midwestern sense of humor and always smiling visage .
