Dear Jackie: I was so sorry to hear about John's passing. I don't know if you remember me but I worked with John at McCormick. Two things come to mind when I think about John: love of his family and his passion for life. I can remember John became passionate about using technology to manage the sales process. He would spend hours trying to articulate how various Excel spreadsheets could be used to measure performance. No doubt, my computer literacy, at the time, and inability to grasp his vision would frustrate him. Little did I realize that in a few short years we would be using many of his ideas as common practice. John was truly a man ahead of his time. He was always fun to be around and I am sure will be greatly missed.

Jackie. I am so sorry and was very surprised to hear of John' passing. I remember the day I fixed you up with John cuz he was so cute and your wedding like it was yesterday. And how much fun we had working together at Carson's part time in the mid 70's. Thinking about you.

Jackie, Caitlin, Patrick & Connor;
I too never had the chance to meet John directly, but news of his passing hit me like a brick. Over several years we have talked business and fun stuff on the phone. To me he was a great man of passion and spirit. We had some kindred similarities and I regret never having the pleasure of his presence face to face. He spoke with great pride of his family and heritage. How precious the gifts become after we lose them.
Hopefully each lesson allows us to take inventory and cherish the gifts we hold each day. I have learned from him and appreciate having crossed his path as I did. There are no doubt many more like I.
He was one of the great ones!
