JOHN C. GULBRANDSEN John C. Gulbrandsen, a lifelong resident of Glen Ellyn, passed away June 12. He was the beloved husband of the late Jackie for 40 years; loving father of Mark, Karen (Patrick) Kelly and Jill (Robert) Godschall; father-in-law of Paula Gulbrandsen; dear grandfather of Kristin Kelly (Michael Stratton), Caitlin (Andy) Tremble, Colleen Kelly and Catherine Kelly, devoted son of the late Frank and Edith. The Gulbrandsen family resided in Glen Ellyn since the 1920s. John was a Glen Ellyn policeman for 13 years and retired from law enforcement after serving for 20 years as a DuPage County sheriff. In lieu of flowers, donations to DuPage County Animal Care & Control, 120 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, IL 60187. A private burial is scheduled for Monday, June 17 at Forest Hill Cemetery, Glen Ellyn, IL. Arrangements were handled by Leonard Memorial Home, Glen Ellyn. For information 630-469-0032.
