John V. Dreyer, age 91, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 29, 2016, WW II Navy Veteran.
Beloved Husband of the late Gloria (nee Anderson); Loving Father of Gayle (Stephen) Sears, Wendy Brentner, Jill (David) Shelby, Paul (Cheryl) Dreyer and the late Andrea (survived by Robert) Wooten; Devoted Grandfather of 13; and Great Grandfather of 8.
Visitation at the Pedersen Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst, IL, Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 11:30 a.m. Interment with Military Honors at Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL.

John was truly a kind man who helped me with my gardening, offering advice and bringing me gifts of flowers and veggies from his garden. Always said hello and invited me to every Birthday party his family had for him at the park. When I moved away I was sad to leave John. I'm going to miss you and I pray you rest gently in God's arms
