I remember your father and grandfather from the days when we were growing up and our parents were such great friends. "Uncle" Joel and "Aunt" Elzina were such a wonderful example of love and friendship. My parents, Merrill and Ruth Blair, really enjoyed the time that they spent with them over the years. I don't know if your family remembers those times, but I was told many times that Joel K was my first boyfriend. I think we were probably 3 at the time.
Anyway, I wish my health were better so that I could meet all of you again and be able to pay my respects to your father in person. Just know that your Dad and Granddad was remembered throughout the years. Joyce Blair Brittain.

Thanks for all the happy memories Uncle Joel.
Children and grandchildren,
Your dad and grandfather was a special man.
Everytime I go to a B.Y.U. basketball game I think of him and Aunt Elzina. We used to look forward to going to where they were seated to say Hi and visit before the game. He always made me feel so loved and special.
I am so glad I got to visit with him this past reunion at the Scera Park.
I am a better person for having known and been around him.
It makes me happy to know he is now with his sweetheart again.

Uncle Joel was a magnificient man! Long before I married into this wonderful family, I knew him in the ward where I was born and raised. My parents and I absolutely loved both him and Elzina. His daughter Betty was my first primary teacher. They were always stalwarts in the ward and community. It was wonderful to be able to talk to him this summer at the family reunion we had at the Scera Park. I'll always treasure that memory. I bet that he and my dad are catching up on all the latest up there in the spirit world. They were always good friends as long as I can remember. He will certainly be missed down here on earth. I thank him for scattering sunshine along my path in life. We love you uncle Joel!!
