They met after the war while both were employed at the Sherwin Williams Company, in Cleveland, Ohio, where they were married on August 4, 1956. They also left behind many longtime friends of the Lake Hinsdale Village condominiums, in Willowbrook, Illinois, as well as friends in the Bradenton/Holmes Beach area of Florida, where they had wintered for several years. Both were avid golfers. A memorial service will be held for both at Christ Church of Oakbrook, in Oakbrook, Illinois, on June 10, 2013, at 10:30AM. Both will be interred at Lakewood Cemetery, in Rocky River, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Hinsdale Humane Society, 22 N.
