PEQUIGNOT, Joan T. 76, of Ft. Jennings, died 1:13 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2009 at St. Ritas Medical Center, Lima. She was born February 23, 1933 in Kalida to the late Henry and Irene (Unverferth) Holtkamp. On October 11, 1958, she married L. Joseph Pequignot, who survives in Ft. Jennings. Mrs. Pequignot retired in 1995 as a Registered Nurse from Van Wert County Hospital. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings and St. Ritas Alumni Association. She graduated from St. Ritas School of Nursing in 1955. Survivors also include a son, Matthew J. Pequignot of Lewis Center; a daughter, Jennifer L. (Thomas) Rossi of Columbus; five grandchildren, Emma and Jack Pequignot, and Brianna, Kylie and Nico Rossi; a brother, Donald (Virginia) Holtkamp of Kalida; two sisters, Irma (Nolan) Krouse and Rita (Dennis) Maag, both of Kalida; a sister-in-law, Betty Holtkamp of Kalida; and a brother-in-law, Thomas Smith of Ft. Jennings. A brother, Eugene Holtkamp; and a sister, Dorothy Smith, preceded her in death. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings with Fr. Joseph Przybysz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township and one hour prior to services Monday at the church. A scripture service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to a charity of the donors choice.
