Joan M. Pepich (nee Vodak), age 85, of Lemont, passed away August 26, 2014, at Loyola Hospital.

Born in Chicago, IL on June 20, 1929, she was a longtime resident of Westmont, IL, Lake Summerset in Davis, IL, and most recently of Lemont, IL. She married Walter T. Pepich on April 15, 1950. Her favorite roles were as a wife, mother and grandmother. However, Joan worked as an Administrative Assistant at Sidley Austin, LLC. She also served one term as President and multiple terms as Secretary of the Lake Summerset Board of Directors.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband Walter.

She is survived by her six children, Bruce (Lisa Englander), Brian (Linda), Barry (Laurel), Brent (Ann), Belinda (Mark Polan) and Beth (Tony Gulczynski). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and many friends.

The family is hosting a visitation on Monday, September 8, 2014, from 3 - 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, September 9, from 9 - 9:30 a.m. at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C. 108 Illinois St. Lemont. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 111 S. Cass Avenue, Westmont, IL, on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Hillside, IL.
