Joan Couser Obituary

JOAN HOLLEY COUSER, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister was surrounded by the love of her family as she passed away January 11, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom & Thelma Holley, husband George A. Couser, son in law Danny Brown and nephew Hal Holley. Joan was born in Commerce, Texas on November 29, 1925. She is survived by daughters Georgia Couser Brown and Holly Couser Morris (Steve), brother Jay Tom Holley (Mary Lou), granddaughters Brandi Brown Hermis and Marni Brown Janacek (Michael). Joan was blessed with 5 great grandchildren as well - Brittany Bradley Tolbert (Joe), Bailey Hermis, Cody Hermis, Michelle Janacek and Michaela Janacek. Joan was a long time Houston resident and dedicated employee of Spring Branch ISD. She was also a loyal member of Long Point Baptist Church in Houston. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, January 13 in Pleasanton, Texas at Hurley Funeral Home and a memorial service will be held at Woodhaven Baptist Deaf Church in Houston on Wednesday January 14, 2009 at 2 pm.
