I knew Jerry when I was a young boy. He was a wonderful guy and came from a great family. He left us way to early, and all I can think is that God had bigger plans for him.

I am so saddened to hear of Jerry's death. I used to work with him for several years at Humana/Michael Reese Health Care in Schaumburg as a supervisor in IM and Specialty. He was a wonderful doctor and an extremely kind person. He worked so hard for his patients and the employees there. I had great respect for him. My best to his children and his siblings.

OMG, I just found out about the passing of Dr. Wozniak and am crushed. He saved my life backa in 1990 by going before a board to argue that I needed a special treatment that they concluded "Cost didn't outweigh the benefits of treatment" I'd have been dead by now. He held my hand during a horrific procedure... He was just such a good friend as well as my Doctor. My heart goes out to the famiiy.

Just heard about his tragic death. I was a fellow resident of his at the University of Illnois Hospital in 1981.

I had only recently become a patient of Dr. Wozniak, but from our first meeting, I felt that God had personally sent him to me to help improve the quality of my life after cancer and chemo. He truly made me feel that my life would indeed return to normal under his care. We talked about his children, his life as a single dad and his recent ski trip. He gave me “wings to fly” and I am devastated over the loss of such a caring and wonderful physician.
To Christopher, Jenna and other family members, I pray that in this shadowed hour, Our Father in Heaven will embrace you in His loving arms of comfort and grace. Peace be with you.
