God made Jerry and Roberta special. They were true neighbors, kind people, and loving, caring people. Jerry's love for tennis connected him to hundreds of people from AT&T/Lucent, USTA members, and countless contacts on the tennis courts of Naperville and beyond. I will Roberta's laughter and Jerry's helpfulness. I am sure the first thing Jerry asked God was "do you get the Tennis Channel in heaven?". I will cherish the good times I had with the Thomas'. Prayers of healing to family and friends.

Terrible and said news of one of our tennis brothers. Jerry was a kind captain of the elder USTA team we played on together. He and Roberta will be missed. All the best to the Thomas family and friends in this time of sorrow and grief. Stay strong.

Jerry and Roberta were great people. I worked with Jerry at Lucent for 22 years. My husband played tennis with Jerry and many times Roberta, the dogs and I chatted while they played. They will both be truly missed.
