June 12, 2010

My Jeffrey....it is now a year since you were taken from me but the ache in my heart remains the same as it was felt when the policeman gave me the news on June 12 last year.

I wish I could go over the photos placed in an album you borrowed to duplicate those early years that are still so precious. Problem is that album was never returned when your possessions were partialy returned. Of all the things that were not returned, the two albums of visual memories were the most important. I hope where ever you are, Dad, both grandmas & grandpas and Goosely keep you company and that you all are in His comfort. I will always love you, our Jazz Baby

I was very shocked today to hear from a friend of Jeff's passing. I will never forget the times that I spent with Jeff when he and his family lived on the beach in Coloma. I think I spent nearly every day with him one summer and he was truly a good friend. I will always remember his smiling face and the good times that always followed him. I hated when he left after graduation and each time I drive on the road past the beach house I have always wondered how he was. I always regretted not staying in touch. My condolences to his family, Jeff will be missed by many.

My Sympathy to all who Jeff had touched. I am so sorry for Julie and Ryan. I was at Julie's house 18 and a half years ago when Jeff proposed to Julie. He took a Fortune Cookie and had that inside a Chicago bears Cup. The Fortune Cookie had a little piece of paper sticking out of it and It read will you marry me ? Then he placed the ring on her finger and she said "Yes". Then all the camera's started flashing! They were both so happy! Her entire family loved Jeff as did her friends. Then the day Julie and I went to watch Jeff and his friends play horseshoes , Jeff sat a tape player next to Julie and told her to hit play when he went back to play horseshoes. As she did there song came on . You were always surprising Julie with something to show your love which made you all the more special to her. He loved you Julie with every ounce of his soul and I am so sorry for your loss. I was always hoping I would have met someone like Jeff,So kind so sincere and so loving, always making people laugh. Jeff was truly an Angel. Jeff I am surely you will be missed by many!! Jeff you and Julie truly had a gift you had each other. Julie please contact me. If there is anything I can do let me know. The last time I saw you and Jeff was in May you were shopping for your son's gradution gift! God Bless you and time will heal your pain. Jeff rest in peace my friend.. We will all see you again. You will be missed by all you have touched!!

My deepest sympathy to Lillian, Frank,
Kathann, Scott, Steve and Ashley in the
loss of a son, brother and father.
My fondest memory of Jeff was when he
was best man at Scott and Carol's wedding in his black tux and blond hair
and how he rushed to his nephew Jason's
side when he fainted then teased him about it all night. Jeff you will be
missed and thank you for the good memories you left in our hearts. God
be with you.

My brother and my friend,

How I miss you so much.....your smile, your infectious laugh, your jokes that I heard a million times, the fun we had growing up, the places we went, the stories we shared the list and memories are so many. You placed your finger print on all you met and you will always be remembered. You will come up during converstations, thoughts through out the day, during holidays and in dreams. I wish I could tell you one more time how much you meant to me and others and how much I loved you as my brother and my friend, but I am sure you knew and with that I draw comfort. My heart is heavy with sorrow, but will grow in love as I remember you. I will now treasure the last time we saw each other for our 50th birthday surprise and the time we shared in Sedona as you seemed so calm and relaxed. You made us a beautiful stained glass Kokopelli and each time I look at it, it will remind me of you. As the sun shines though the glass, casting shadows in the room, I will think of how you shined in the hearts of all you touched. Our paths will cross again in the realm of our Heavenly Father and your soul is now at peace. I miss you...until we meet again.

I Love You,
Your only sister

I have known Jeff for about 20 years. There are many things I could say about Jeff but one of his best qualities that I loved most about him was his calm, patient personality. So sorry for Jeff's loss. We were golfing buddies and had great times together. We had our ups and downs, but always wound up back in each other's lives. His passing was too great of a shock. It's going to take a long time to get over this one.
I'm just very grateful that he loved Julie and Ryan...that's what mattered the most...to me.
So, rest in peace, dear friend...we're here to hold up your end now.

Jeff was my cousin. Although we had not seen one another in 30 years we had the wonderful opportunity to catch up this past March. I am grateful for that weekend. I will cherish his laugh and the stories he shared. I will most cherish the hike the group of us took in Red Rock. My thanks are many for that weekend.

Jeff was my brother-in-law, my brother and my friend. I will miss his warm smile, his contagious laugh and his corny sense of humor. Jeff had a way to light up the room when he entered and no one was a stranger to Jeff as he made everyone feel at ease. I will surround myself in the days to come with great memories of Jeff, especially the memories that make me laugh. I will miss him in this life, but I know that I will see him again someday.

June 21, 2009

I got to know Jeff when I became Jeff's mailman on Penn Rd.. For the past 3 1/2 years Jeff would come out to get the mail and we would chat. I really enjoy talking to people on my route. Jeff was one of those people that I looked forward to seeing. We always had something to share with each other. He often in hot weather would greet me with a cold glass of water. I was shocked when a friend of mine told me of Jeff's passing. Please know that I have nothing but good memories of Jeff. He was a very caring person. I will miss him.

June 18, 2009

Its just a few days have past since we had lunch with Jeff, his Mom, and Mana. It is hard to comprehend he is gone. We will miss him dearly.Carol and I send our heartfelt condolences to all the family.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
