Jeanne Koutsky
Born: June 2, 1933
Died: Jan. 21, 2016
Jeanne Koutsky, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016.
Jeanne is survived by her six children, Elizabeth, Rose, Cathy, Joanie, Judy, and Marty and her eight grandchildren, Eric, Emily, Ben, Nathan, Noah, Madeleine, Jack and Matthew.
Jeanne was born on June 2, 1933, to John and Marie (nee Blaha) Kucera. She married her husband, Laddie Koutsky, on June 27, 1964, and together they had five daughters and one son. Jeanne and Laddie had a loving marriage for 51 years. She will be rejoining her beloved Laddie who passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016.
If you measure a person's life achievements, and asked them what was most important, Jeanne would say, without pause, her children. She attended every track meet, football game, tennis match and school play for all six of her kids.
Only after all the children left home, did Jeanne pursue her own dreams of exploration. She scoured the newspaper for last-minute deals to travel with her husband, Laddie, around the world. Russia, Thailand, Botswana - she didn't hesitate. As she would say, the price was right (and she wasn't one for regret). Together, Jeanne and Laddie explored six of the seven continents. Her travels brought her happiness, a happiness she had until then, set aside to give everything to her children.
Jeanne was deeply spiritual and committed to her faith and believed wholeheartedly in the power of prayer.
Jeanne will be remembered for many thing: her positive outlook, her quick smile for all around her, her infectious laugh, her love for her husband and children. Alzheimer's robbed her of her memories, of her ability to recognize those closest to her, but it never robbed her of her spirit. She will be remembered for the constant love she gave - even in the face of adversity. Jeanne gave love to so many people, always unconditionally, and she will be missed by all.
