Jean Nystrom Obituary
Jean M. Nystrom, age 93, of Downers Grove, formerly of Clarendon Hills, passed away September 13th, 2016.
Beloved wife of the late Ralph. Loving mother of John (Susan), Glenn (Linda), and Margery (the late Howard) Easoz. Devoted grandmother of Brian, Kevin, Lucy, Jaclyn, Ralph, Bethany and Robert. Dear great-grandmother of Taylor, Milo and Zachary.
Jean was a graduate of the University of Illinois and a proud member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority. She was a member of the Downers Grove Women's Club, the Good Samaritan Hospital Women's Auxiliary, a longtime member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Downers Grove, an active bridge player and a staunch Cubs fan.
Funeral services and interment at Bronswood Cemetery have been privately held.
As Jean had expressed, "If someone wants to make a contribution, I don't know why they would really, give to Biblica, formerly International Bible Society (1820 Jetstream Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80921 or www.biblica.com) because without Christianity we are lost."
