James Turnbull Obituary

James Edward Turnbull, 90, of Carol Stream, formerly of Chicago and Wheaton, IL, died peacefully on Dec. 16, 2008. Beloved husband of 66 years to the late Dorothy; loving father of William (Susan) and Joy (Larry) Sampson; proud grandfather of Eric, Ben, and Neal; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. During WWII he served in the army as quartermaster in France. In 1983 he retired from the human resource department at Schwinn Bicycles. A "gentleman" in every sense, he will be remembered with great love and respect as a person with a quick wit and wonderful smile. His kind and gracious spirit inspired and empowered those around him. James will be missed. Family and friends to gather Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 for 10AM memorial service at Windsor Park Manor Chapel Auditorium, 124 Windsor Park Dr., Carol Stream, Il.
