James Rewis Obituary

STATESBORO - Mr. James Archie Rewis, age 63, died Tuesday at East Georgia Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. The Florida native had lived in Bulloch County for most of his life. Mr. Rewis was a mechanic and truck driver for Mill Creek Construction for 13 years. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Lee Rewis.
Surviving is his son and daughter-in-law, Billy Joe and Sadie Rewis of Metter; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Rita and Darrell Knight of Claxton, Nancy Holt and Shirley Collins of Reidsville; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.
The funeral will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Elders John Scott and Howard Rushing officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery.

Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
