Dear Mrs. Higgins, Nancy and family,
I am so sorry I was not able to attend the wake tonight nor will I be able to be at the funeral. Mr. Higgins was always the consummate gentleman and he will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
God Bless you all.

Chuck, and family - our condolences for the loss of your father, he was an extremely accomplished man. To serve both his country and young minds are truly noble goals and ones in which few suceed, your father was the rare exception. It is easy see why his is called the "greatest generation" and I think he was a charter member. The Higgins family will go on with the wisdom passed down from father to son/daughter which will be passed to the next generation, Jim Higgins no doubt leaves a lasting and loving legacy.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Jim. I met Jim 5 years ago as I joined the Knights of Columbus in Westfield. Jim was always the first to volunteer and give me advice. I have the greatest respect for Jim and his lifelong accomplishments. I will miss him deeply, but know he will be in the hands of our Lord. Grand Knight, Knights of Columbus, Westfield Council #100
