HERNDON, James Dwight 81; died on June 26, 2004. He was a teacher and coach at Patterson Co-op High School in Dayton, Ohio for 30 years. Retired to New Mexico in 1978; to Florida in 1993; Survived by wife, Mary of Sun City Center Florida; daughter and grandson Jan and Jeff York of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughters Marilyn and Carol of Florida and sister Mary B. Stephens of Anchorage, Alaska; niece and nephews, Kathy, Michael, Scott and Tim Stephens. A Celebration of Life will be held in Florida. In lieu of flowers; a remembrance to the Alzheimer's Society or Hospice.

He was good teacher, who made sure
his students did their very best. My condolences to his family.

Mr. Herndon was my history teacher. He was very fair and was an excellent teacher.
He had a very good sense of humor and I enjoyed his class.
