James Ganzmann Obituary

James E. Ganzmann, 84, of Huron, died Monday, September 13, 2010 at Admiral's Pointe Rehab and Healthcare Center, Huron. He was born March 21, 1926 in Toledo and came to Huron 13 years ago from Downer's Grove, IL. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1948. He worked for Union Oil Company Chicago Refinery for 40 years of service including working in Heath, OH. He was a US Navy Veteran and served during WWII. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron; a 4th degree member of the St. Edward's Council, Knights of Columbus, Huron; the American Legion, Sandusky; the Huron Eagles; and the Pt Clinton Moose Lodge. He is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Ganzmann of Huron, and a son, Ed Ganzmann of Cincinnati, OH. He is preceded in death by his wife, Martha (Zubrick) Ganzmann, 1999; and parents, Alvin and Lillian (Collins) Ganzmann. Friends may call Wednesday, September 15th, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main Street, Huron, OH. Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main Street, Huron with Rev. Jeffery Sikorski, officiating. Burial will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Oregon, OH. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron. Online condolences may be shared at www.fosterfh.com
