James Allen Obituary

James Woodrow Allen, age 94, of Countryside, passed away. He was a US Army Pacific Theatre Combat Veteran, WWII. Preceded in death by the love of his life, Eleanor B. Allen, nee Korn. Loving father of Bobby Gayle, James (Pam) and William; devoted grandfather of Michael Allen, Lisa Allen Patrick, Rob and Steve Allen; dear great-grandfather of Trinity, Isaac and Russell Patrick; cherished brother of Wilburn, the late Ila Mae and the late Ina Bea; fond uncle of Saundra Kay Taylor. Mr. Allen was a member of the Oak Forest Lodge #832 AF&AM. Visitation was Friday, Sept. 4, from 5-9 p.m. at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, where funeral service was at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Entombment Concordia Cemetery.
