Jack Jepsen Obituary

Jack Jepsen, well-known local pilot, former owner of Jepsen Moving and Storage and Board Member of Atlas Van Lines, passed away January 22, 2011, in Ft. Pierce, Florida. As a Realtor in Fort Pierce, he was well known as "Waterfront Jack", specializing in waterfront properties all along the Treasure Coast. He is preceded in death by his son, Kirk Jepsen. He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne Marie Antoinette; daughter, Karen Miller; son, Kris Jepsen; grandsons, Michael, Mark and Dan Makutenas; granddaughter, Kailee Miller; great-grandson, Anthony Makutenas (Michael's son); great-granddaughter, Alyssa (Mark's daughter); his two brothers, Don (Jane) and Jon (Carol) Jepsen; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were already held in Florida, and a local Memorial Service will be held at First United Methodist Church, 1032 Maple Avenue, Downers Grove, on March 13, 2011. An Open Visitation will be held in the Church Parlor from 1:30 to 4:30. Following the Visitation a simple Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held in the Church Sanctuary. In accordance with Jack's wishes, his ashes will be interred next to his son, Kirk, in a private ceremony at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to the Downers Grove First United Methodist Church, in memory of their dad and their brother, Kirk.
