Mrs. Carlmark, Nan, very sorry for you loss, you are all in our prayers. Pastor Carlmark was a great friend to the Giroux family. You cannot imagine the comfort he brought to us all when he presided at my Mom and Dad's funerals. I am sure they are all enjoying catching up again. He was one of my mentors that had a great influence in my life, I will never forget him for that.

Herb was a mentor and friend, especially during my years as a pastor in first the Illinois Synod of the LCA and then of the Metro Chicago Synod, ELCA. I will always be grateful for his guidance at pivotal moments.

Regrettably I am unable to attend the Memorial Service, but I remember your dear husband, especially the night you took me in during that horrible snow storm many years ago.
