Helen Tomec Obituary

Helen F. Tomec, 93, or Antioch and a former 50 year resident of Berwyn, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2008 at her home. She was born on Sept. 10, 1914 in Virden, IL to Frank and Anna Straukas. She was the beloved aunt of Michael (Nicolette) Mikula, Joseph (Deborah) Tomec and several grand nieces and nephews; dear sister of Mary Kuntz of Berwyn and Stella Nagel of Vethalto, IL. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Frank Tomec. Visitation, Thursday, April 10, 4-8 p.m. at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176) Libertyville. A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park in the Chapel of Eternal Life Mausoleum at 11 a.m. on Friday. A dinner will be held at the Czech Plaza Restaurant in Berwyn, following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Star Hospice, 99 Greenwood Ave. Waukegan, IL 60085 would be appreciated.
