Helen Brooks Obituary

Helen E. Brooks, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 29, 2012. Helen was from Jackson, Ohio. She raised her family of five in Elmhurst, IL with her late husband Verne R. Brooks. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Floyd and Mildred Powell. Best friend to her sisters Janice, Thelma, Donna, Carol and brother, Jerry; sister- in-law to Regina Brooks and late Burdette Brooks. She was a devoted mother to Terry (Barbara), Verna Brooks-Clark (Steve), Duane (David), Curtis and Ginger Lynn Brooks. Loving Grandmother of Shawna, Amber, Derrik, Ross and Austin. Helen was an interpreter at heart, she taught her children the fine art of business, and encouraged creativity with the use of your hands and mind. She would do anything to win a soul to Christ. She was laid to rest with her husband in a private graveside service at Fairview Cemetery in Tonica, IL. Rest In Peace, Helen E. Brooks.
