Harvey Rogers Obituary
Harvey E. Rogers, affectionately known to everyone as "Bud" , passed away July 2, 2017 at the age of 87.
Bud was born in Knoxville, TN and was a longtime resident of Elmhurst.
Bud is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Therese "Teri"; father of Kim Phillips, Lisa (Frank) Borta, Laurie (Ron) Nasti, Susan (Tom) Krisch, Ron (Christy) Oestreich, Buddy Rogers and Teresa Rogers; loving grandfather of 15; proud great grandfather of 2 and honored great great grandfather of 1; brother of the late John K. (survived by Wilma) Rogers, Nancy (Bud) Helton, Beverly Monroe and Larry (Elaine) Rogers and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Bud was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 80 for over 60 years, a master woodworker, avid fisherman, motorcycle enthusiast, golfer and gardener.
Visitation at the Pedersen Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York St, Elmhurst, was Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Friday, July 7, 2017 began with prayers at the mortuary at 9:00 a.m. and proceeded to Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Elmhurst for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Arlington Cemetery, Elmhurst.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Carmelite Monastery, 949 River Rd. Des Plaines, IL 60016 or Fresenius Medical Care at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, 133 E. Brush Hill Rd. Elmhurst, IL 60126.
