Harry W. Schwarz Jr., 89, of Elmhurst.

Beloved husband of Lillian Norris Schwarz for 65 years; loving father of James Dorn (Kristine) Schwarz, Robert Hugh (the late Nancy) Schwarz and Linda Schwarz (David) Verseman; cherished grandfather of Julie (Daniel) Pienta, Karyn (Derek) Soerens, Thomas (Lindsay) Schwarz, Amy (Shaun) McKenna, Eric (Melissa) Dell'Aquilla, Rob (Ashley) Schwarz Jr., Brianne (Danny) Marino, Taylor (Zak) Kendzora, Thomas (Vallory) Verseman, James Verseman and Mark Verseman; proud great grandfather of Daniel, James, Lauren, Finley, Alexa, Bailey, Ryan, Jake, Colton, Chloe, Clair, Tristan and Logan.

Harry was an Air Force Veteran and owner of Chicago Chain and Transmission for 65 years and was well respected in his industry. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors, bluebirds, working on the farm and driving his tractor. He also played football at Bradley University. He was a gentle, loving man who was greatly blessed.

Visitation at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst from 1:00 p.m. until time of Services at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018. Private interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport, IL.
