Harold M. Michalsen, 88, of Elmhurst passed away October 16, 2011. Beloved husband of Lois nee Evensen; devoted father of Marvin (Sheila) and Roger (Jenna); grandfather of Venezia (Jorge) Fernandez, Ravenna Michalsen, Rev. Ted (Kathryn) Michalsen and Hannah Michalsen; great-grandfather of Elias Michalsen and Bowie Fernandez. Preceded in death by parents, Gunda and Sigurd Michalsen and 4 siblings. Charter member of Christ United Methodist Church. Employed by Montgomery Wards 30 years. Member of Sons of Norway Lodge and WWII veteran. Fondly remembered by many cousins here and in Norway and a host of good friends. Visitation at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday. In state at Christ United Methodist Church, 920 S. Swain, Elmhurst from 10:30 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. Saturday October 22. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery.
